The Body Image lesson has been developed to align with the Government's campaign on Body Confidence. The aim of the one hour lesson is to provide an introduction into the role of the media and advertising in influencing young people's perception of body image.
Digital Adwise teaches children about the commercial nature of the internet and helps to them to identify and understand online marketing techniques while teaching the necessary visual literacy and persuasive writing/reading skills.
In conjunction with the Digital Adwise lesson, Media Smart created a lesson with T-Mobile and Saatchi & Saatchi to show how an advertising campaign is created to appeal to people through viral marketing and social media.
Be Adwise 2 resources have been developed with leading UK media literacy experts to support curriculum areas including Literacy, English and Citizenship. They also support Mathematics, PSHE/ PSE/PSD, Technology, Art and ICT education.
